Entry Points

Start when you're ready with multiple entry points throughout the year. Choose the traditional 16-week and 8-week course formats during the fall and spring or experience a more accelerated format with our winter and summer session options.

How do you balance school, work, and personal life?

"It is challenging at times. However, reaching out to classmates has helped build a sense of community. Creating and sticking to a weekly schedule is important to stay on top of assignments."

How would you describe your SEMO Online experience?

"It's been challenging, rewarding, and enlightening. To be an online student you really must be a self-started and self-motivated. I have learned so much, both about myself and academically. It has been worth every effort, trial, and success."

I think the best part of being an online student is my learning is in my own hands. I don’t have to follow a rigid curriculum and cram in study time to prepare for a big test every week. I study at my own pace, and freely schedule my school work around my career.

Why are you taking online courses?

"I’m taking online courses because I want to obtain my BSN, but I don’t want to take time away from working at the patient’s bedside and developing my career. Southeast Online makes it easy to complete my school work around my time at the hospital, and in doing so, learn the most that I can to become a better nurse."

Why would you encourage other students to attend SEMO Online?

"The instructors are easy to work with, and the material is interesting and engaging. Two classes I’ve found particularly interesting have been Nursing Research and Community Health."
